This is ‘The Daily Show’ at its best, comparing Wanda Sykes’s jokes at the White House Correspondents Dinner to the executive approval of waterboarding. By the way, could Wanda Sykes be the first out lesbian speaker at the event? For a while, I wondered if there had been any African-American speakers, but apparently Cedric the Entertainer was there in 2005 and Ray Charles was there in 2003. She may, however, be the first African-American woman to speak. Note the “controversy” over Sykes’s jokes. Her insults of Rush Limbaugh, who is easily one of the most offensive pundits in the country, got scathing comments from whiteys like Bill Bennett. Apparently, the wealthy straight white male just can’t approve of the insulting of one of their own. Any realizations that Limbaugh might be asking for it? Apparently, it’s hard to hear criticism from gay black women…… oh, us poor afflicted white guys.
